Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about our services, pricing, and how Expat Bridge supports you in Portugal.
What exactly does Expat Bridge do?
Expat Bridge provides concierge and advisory support for expats in Portugal. We guide, coordinate, and simplify processes related to relocation, property, business, hospitality projects, and everyday life — acting as your single point of contact throughout.
Are you a law firm or an accounting practice?
No. Expat Bridge is not a law firm, accounting practice, or notary. Where licensed professionals are required, we coordinate with trusted experts. Their services are contracted and paid directly by the client.
Do you work with lawyers, accountants, architects, or contractors?
Yes. When needed, we recommend and coordinate with trusted professionals. You are always free to choose your own professionals — the final decision is always yours.
What’s included in your packages?
Packages provide structured, ongoing support at different levels:
Essential for clarity and setup
Guided for hands-on coordination (most chosen)
Concierge for founder-led, end-to-end support
Each package includes a clearly defined scope, outlined on the relevant service page.
Can I book individual services instead of a package?
Yes. Individual services are available and priced separately.
However, packages offer better value, continuity, and priority handling, and are recommended for most situations.
How do pricing and payments work?
Package prices are fixed and transparent.
Individual services are quoted from a base price, depending on complexity.
Any third-party professional fees (lawyers, notaries, etc.) are paid directly by the client
Do you guarantee outcomes or timelines?
We do not guarantee outcomes, as timelines and decisions often depend on public authorities or third parties. What we do guarantee is clear guidance, proper coordination, and proactive follow-up.
Do you work with clients who are not yet in Portugal?
Yes. Many of our clients work with us remotely, especially during early relocation, property scouting, and business setup stages.
Where do you operate?
We primarily operate in Central Portugal & Great Lisbon area, but support clients across Portugal depending on the service and scope.
Is Expat Bridge suitable for complex situations?
Yes. Complex cases are where our Guided and Concierge packages provide the most value — offering coordination, structure, and clarity when things are not straightforward.
How do I get started?
The best first step is to get in touch and briefly explain your situation. We’ll advise on the most suitable next step — with no pressure.
If you didn’t find the answer you were looking for, we’re happy to help clarify your situation.
